Actualizing Service Based on Tri Darma

Community service is one of the pillars of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, alongside the dharma of education and teaching, and the dharma of research. The Statutes of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), outlined in Government Regulation No. 16 of 2014, state that USU has a vision to be a pioneer among national universities of world-class excellence and innovation, dedicated to the interests of the nation and humanity, guided by the values of the nation’s culture based on Pancasila. USU’s vision is implemented through the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: education, research, and community service. USU’s mission is not only to provide education for students but also to conduct research, develop innovations, and preserve and advance superior scientific knowledge that is beneficial to society.
