The ceremony served as an opportunity to recall the spirit of struggle of Indonesian youth, who pledged their unity through the Youth Pledge on 28 October 1928. The commemoration was not only a tribute to the nation's history but also a reminder of the importance of maintaining unity and fostering a sense of responsibility in community life.

For higher education institutions, the spirit of the Youth Pledge holds significant meaning in shaping a younger generation with national awareness and the ability to appreciate differences. The values of unity and togetherness must continue to be reflected through mutual respect, tolerance, and concern for the surrounding environment.

Through this commemoration, the USU Faculty of Psychology contributes to strengthening the values of unity and harmonious living within the educational environment. The spirit of unity passed down through the Youth Pledge is also in line with the 10th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), Reduced Inequalities. This value is reflected in the importance of building an inclusive environment that respects diversity. In higher education institutions, this spirit can be put into practice by providing opportunities for every individual to grow and encouraging the development of equal relationships regardless of differences in background. It is also in line with the 16th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. This goal emphasizes the importance of building peaceful and inclusive societies that uphold togetherness.

The commemoration of Youth Pledge Day is expected to serve as a reminder for all members of the academic community to continue upholding the spirit of unity and making positive contributions to the nation. In this way, the values passed down by previous generations of youth will remain alive and become part of the lives of today's younger generation.
