Medan – The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) conducted an official visit to the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSK) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) from October 3rd to 5th, 2022. This visit aimed to establish a collaborative partnership between the two institutions.
The USU delegation was led by Vice Dean II, Hasnida, Ph.D., Psychologist, and included the Head of the Undergraduate Psychology Program, Dr. Rahmi Putri Rangkuti, Psychologist; the Head of the Master of Professional Psychology Program, Raras Sutatminingsih, Ph.D., Psychologist; and the Head of Research, Community Service, and Cooperation, Sartika Marina Lubis, S.E., M.Si.
The FSSK UKM representatives included the Deputy Dean of FSSK UKM, Prof. Sity Daud; the Deputy Dean of Undergraduate Studies at FSSK UKM, Dr. Wan Sharazah; the Chair of Psi Tra, Prof. Madya Datin Dr. Fauziah Ibrahim; the Coordinator of the Crisis Management and Social Policy Counseling Cluster, Prof. Madya Dr. Nur Saadah Mohammad Aun; the Coordinator of the Mental Health and Quality of Life Cluster, Dr. Roseliza Murni; the Head of the Undergraduate Psychology Program, Dr. Nurul Aziza Abdullah; the Head of the Graduate Program, Prof. Madya Dr. Jamiah HJ Manap; and the Coordinator of the Developmental and Special Needs Psychology Program, Dr. Aman.
The meeting was opened by moderator Muhammad Nazmi bin Rahmat, Administrative Officer of the Secretariat for Industrial and Community Network Affairs at FSSK UKM. Welcome remarks were given by the Deputy Dean of FSSK UKM, Prof. Siti Daud, who introduced the FSSK UKM team. This was followed by remarks from the Vice Dean III of USU, Hasnida, Ph.D., Psychologist, who introduced the USU team.
The visit aimed to explore potential areas of cooperation between the two faculties, such as joint research projects, student and faculty exchange programs, and collaborative teaching initiatives.
