This socialization activity was intended for lecturers to improve their understanding and ensure that academic data and publication records recorded in their Science and Technology Index (SINTA) accounts were accurate and up to date. During the socialization, Fahira Syahnas, S.I.Kom., as the speaker and SINTA verification staff member from DITP3I, explained that SINTA synchronization is important for lecturers because the data recorded in SINTA is related to the management of academic records and the assessment of lecturer performance.

“This socialization is intended for USU lecturers because SINTA synchronization has a significant impact on lecturer performance assessment. Therefore, it is important for every lecturer to ensure that their publication data and academic records have been properly synchronized,” she said.

Through this activity, lecturers of the Faculty of Psychology also received assistance in addressing various issues related to SINTA account management, including ensuring that scientific publications and academic outputs were properly recorded. DITP3I had previously explained that the facilitation of SINTA synchronization was intended to maintain the accuracy and validity of lecturers' academic data, including publication data and various research outputs. The activity is expected to increase awareness among Faculty of Psychology USU lecturers of the importance of regularly updating academic data. Accurate data not only supports the documentation of lecturers' academic records but also forms part of efforts to strengthen research governance and scientific publication management within higher education institutions.

Another DITP3I staff member, Ahmad Rizal, S.I.Kom., also demonstrated to the lecturers of the Faculty of Psychology USU how to consolidate all account profiles with different names into a single name.

The implementation of SINTA socialization and synchronization assistance is in line with SDG 4: Quality Education, particularly in supporting the improvement of the capacity and quality of academic human resources.

Through this activity, the Faculty of Psychology USU continues to encourage lecturers to actively update and ensure the accuracy of their SINTA data as part of efforts to strengthen academic performance, research productivity, and the scientific contributions of the Faculty of Psychology USU.
