The activity served as a forum for dialogue between the USU Academic Senate and the Faculty of Psychology to discuss various academic developments, gather the faculty's aspirations, and identify various needs and challenges faced in the implementation of higher education.
The Chairperson of the USU Academic Senate, Prof. Dr. Drs. Budi Agustono, M.S., stated that visits to faculties are part of efforts to build more open and constructive communication between the Academic Senate and academic units within USU.
“This is all part of our communication to listen to one another, provide input, and build communication together. Thus, a more comfortable atmosphere can be established between the Academic Senate and the faculty to create a more progressive teaching and learning process and academic activities,” he said.
Through direct communication, various aspirations and input from the faculty can be conveyed and serve as considerations in supporting efforts to strengthen governance, institutional communication, and academic development within the Faculty of Psychology USU.
The Dean of the Faculty of Psychology USU, Prof. Vivi Gusrini Rahmadani Pohan, M.Sc., M.A., Ph.D., expressed her appreciation for the visit from the USU Academic Senate. The meeting provided an opportunity for the Faculty of Psychology to convey various developments, aspirations, and challenges related to the development of the faculty.
The activity also supported SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, particularly through strengthening transparent, accountable, participatory, and collaborative governance within the higher education environment.
The input and suggestions obtained through the meeting can subsequently serve as evaluation materials for the Faculty of Psychology USU in carrying out continuous institutional improvement and development.
